Matilda unearths the best in Australian and New Zealand product design as yet unseen in Europe, ensuring the world-class designers gain the international recognition they deserve.

Launching 13 leading Australian designers as part of the 2010 London Design Festival is the beginning of an ongoing commercial proposition for the designers to have permanent commercial representation in the UK.

This initial collection is available for sale to trade and retail buyers as well as the public and will be added to with new products and work from other leading designers. An expanded exhibition with up to 30 designers and supported by Australian governments is planned for the 2011 London Design Festival.

Jenni Carbins the founder of Matilda, an Australian living in London for the past five years, is formerly Director of Marketing at Southbank Centre.
